Watchdog Reporter

Love to break a big story? Dig into public records to reveal trends? Hold leaders and institutions accountable?

We are looking for an experienced journalist who has a passion for watchdog coverage. The watchdog reporter should have strong critical thinking and analytical skills, as well as experience in parsing public records, analyzing data and building databases to detect and execute stories about the spending of public money and the performance of public officials.

This reporter needs to have a proven talent for developing sources inside and out of institutions and should be adept at using social media to build sources and engage audiences. Stories should be well organized, written with authority and told through various means of storytelling.
