Multimedia Investigative Reporter

The Democrat and Chronicle, a Gannett company, is seeking a Multimedia Investigative Reporter to aggressively deliver information using artful interview techniques, documents, and a diverse range of sourcing to provide relevant investigative work, to be delivered on all appropriate platforms with a focus on urgency and immediacy. To generate ideas for relevant investigative work, taking news assignments and working closely with editors, reporters and multimedia staff to develop a strategy for reaching a greater audience through multimedia delivery.

We are looking for someone who can help us bridge the gap between old-style shoe leather reporting and a more visual-driven multimedia approach to investigative journalism.  Knowledge of video, audio and graphic arts techniques to present data in an online environment helpful. We’re looking for someone who can join our team of dedicated investigative reporters.

The Rochester region is rich in history, opportunities for recreation, and music and the arts. It’s a good place to settle down.
