Investigative/Special Projects Reporter


WNCN, Media General's Raleigh affiliate is recruiting a smart, dynamic journalist who understands what it takes to tell investigative stories in a multiple platform environment. The reporter should have excellent writing, research and strong storytelling skills. Our ideal candidate brings passion and problem solving to the table every day. The successful candidate will be a member of our station's dedicated investigative team which will develop year-round targeted investigative special reports. The right candidate is a self-starter. This includes the ability to develop strong relationships with contacts that would lead to unique, local  and statewide stories. You will be responsible for  broadcast, web and social media content . The successful candidate must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.  Non-linear editing  is a plus. If you have a college degree in journalism or a similar field; at least  three years reporting experience; want to live in one of the Nation's Best Places, and have a passion for providing compelling news coverage, then send  a link of your work to:
