Investigative Producer

The Investigative Producer will be responsible for oversight of investigative content. The Investigative Producer will work with the investigative team on enterprise long term content and in-depth day of content on a year round basis.

Candidates must be experienced in generating and vetting enterprise investigative content using data mining, sources and FOI. It is essential that the person that holds this position be organized and able to keep a calendar of investigative stories year round on multiple platforms. Experience in producing, either for broadcast or print, investigative stories is essential. Candidates should be familiar with FOIA and libel/slander laws. Research skills that include data mining, cultivating sources, and FOI. Managing the schedule of the investigative team and investigative reports. An understanding of FOI, libel and slander laws and the judgment to edit stories generated by the team is required.
