Reporter/Editor

FairWarning (www.fairwarning.org), a nonprofit investigative news organization based in Encino, Calif., is seeking a reporter/editor to join our dedicated, hard-working team. We’re looking for a hard-nosed digger and self-starter with at least 3 to 5 years of news experience and a demonstrated ability to handle detailed investigative and explanatory stories. Candidates from the Los Angeles area preferred, but we’ll consider applicants from anywhere.

FairWarning, now in its fifth year, covers public health, safety and environmental issues, and related topics of government and business accountability. We publish on our website and in print, online and broadcast editions of dozens of media outlets across the U.S.

If you’re interested in talking to us, please send a resume, short cover letter and three strong clips by September 2 to Stuart Silverstein, assistant editor of FairWarning, at stuart.silverstein@fairwarning.org.
