Great CAR opportunity in news-rich environment. The Dallas Morning News is looking for a seasoned computer-assisted reporting editor to join its Projects & Enterprise department. The ideal candidate has stellar CAR skills, including SQL Server, ArcGIS, SPSS, SAS, spreadsheets and database managers. Knowledge of a scripting language such as Ruby, Python or Perl is a plus. We are seeking someone who is a good team player, as well as coach and teacher. The News has a strong tradition of investigative work and places great emphasis on encouraging watchdog/CAR reporting throughout the newsroom.
