Health Insurance Status - U.S. Census Bureau
The health insurance historical tables provide an estimate of the population that has health insurance coverage. These tables provide summaries of coverage by private and public entities. The data is broken down by demographic groups and age.
The Census Bureau collects the information as part of its Current Population Survey, Annual Social and Economic Supplement. Most recently, the bureau surveyed people living in around 57,000 (civilian and military) noninstitutional households.
