Army Records Disprove Korean Combat Claim
Ottaway News Service investigates the credibility of freshman Rep. Wes Cooley, a Republican from Oregon who made dubious claims that he had served in the Army's elite Special Forces in the Korean War. Cooley submitted the information as part of his official biography in the official Oregon Voters Guide, but later tried to delete the claim after failing to prove it.
