IRE Annual Conference June 17-20, 2004 More than 900 journalists from around the world gathered for more than 100 panels, workshops and special presentations about covering public safety, courts, national security, the military, business, education, local government and much more. The conference included IRE's annual membership meeting, board elections and the elections of IRE Awards judges. Attendees took advantage of mentoring opportunities, as well as receptions, mobile panels and the annual Blues Bash.
