IRE and CAR conferences

Every year, over 1,000 investigative journalists meet for a few days to learn how to do their jobs better. These national and regional conferences are packed with panels, workshops and roundtables covering the latest developments in the field of investigative reporting. The conferences have become known for the practical tips and story ideas shared by prize-winning members in quick-hit sessions.

Sessions range from hands-on computer training to panels on more traditional shoe-leather techniques. Demo rooms allow broadcasters to view video clips by other members. Tipsheets and story clips are freely shared.
