Sponsorship Opportunities
The 2009 CAR Conference will run from March 19-22 at the Sheraton Indianapolis City Centre. The 3 ½ day conference is internationally renowned and attracts around 300 of the top journalists in computer-assisted and investigative reporting. Sessions will cover using cutting-edge technology for reporting on a wide range of topics, including the Census, crime and courts, education, local and state government, and urban infrastructure. In addition, we will offer dozens of hands-on classes — taught by the best in the business — for every journalist throughout each day.
Each year we depend deeply on the generosity and support of media organizations, foundations and corporations to conduct our important conferences. The conference benefits journalists by offering not only story ideas, but also the guidance in techniques and resources needed to carry out those ideas. It also provides a great recruiting opportunity for major conference sponsors.
Support from our sponsors helps us keep our registration fees low — we ask only $175 in early bird registration fees for IRE members, thus ensuring our attendance remains robust when training and travel budgets are lean.
