The standard cost for our newsroom training is $800 to $1,200 a day, plus travel and lodging expenses for the first trainer. Additional trainers cost more, though we try to find local or regional volunteers to work for expenses.
If our laptops are required, there will be an additional charge because of setup and shipping costs.

Training costs can vary depending on the number of people trained and the difficulty in developing the training materials. IRE and NICAR training is still priced well below comparable services offered by consultants and corporations.
