Bringing Specialized Training to You

IRE and NICAR take training sessions on the road nearly every week of the year. Some sessions are regional workshops that draw from several states or throughout a city, some are seminars for a single newsroom. The sessions range from one to five days and may cover computer-assisted techniques, traditional beat reporting or specific reporting and editing issues. Time-tested programs are ready to roll or a unique program can be custom-made for your newsroom. Some journalism organizations prefer to ask IRE and NICAR to hold training sessions during larger regional or national conferences.
