The Houston Chronicle is seeking an experienced environmental reporter ready to tackle the wide range of issues facing the greater Houston area in a post-Hurricane Harvey era. The ideal candidate will have five years or more experience writing for daily newspapers or online news organizations with the knowledge and ability to write about complex environmental issues in air, land and sea. The job will include a mix of investigations, short-term enterprise and daily reporting. The reporter will be able to approach complex issues with objectivity and nuanced reporting, and be at ease filing FOIA requests and tracking government oversight by uncooperative officials.
