Marco is the News Lab Lead for Brazil & Latin America at the Google News Lab. Before joining Google in 2017, Marco was School of Data’s program manager. Marco cofounded in 2015 the first data journalism agency in Brazil, journalismo++, part of the international j++ network of data-driven agencies. Today he supports publishers, journalists and media entrepreneurs in Brazil and Latin America with the best Google can offer so that they can build the future of media and tell the best stories of our time. @mtrpires
Alex is an assistant professor at Syracuse University's Newhouse School, where he teaches data journalism. He's a former IRE training director, and he has previously worked as a reporter and editor at the Chicago Tribune, NerdWallet, The Chronicle of Higher Education and the Las Vegas Sun, where he was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in 2011 and shared the Goldsmith Prize for investigative reporting. @alexrichards
