Using open records laws

Deborah Fisher has been executive director of Tennessee Coalition for Open Government since November 2013 where she leads the nonprofit organization in promoting and preserving access to government information and proceedings through the state’s open records and open meetings laws. Previously, Fisher spent 25 years as a media executive and leader, beginning as a news reporter at a daily community newspaper and eventually becoming an editor where she managed newsrooms and news teams across topics, including investigations, public affairs reporting, business reporting, breaking news and features.
