Speaker Bios

  • Ben Fox joined the Adams and Reese's Memphis office in 2008 after practicing law for three years in New Orleans. Ben’s practice includes civil litigation, media law and legal ethics. Ben’s media law practice includes representation of media outlets in a variety of matters, including claims for defamation, and open records and meetings issues. Ben also has co-authored annual Tennessee media law updates for the Media Law Resource Center.

  • Maria Ines Zamudio is an independent  award-winning  investigative  reporter.  In 2015,  Zamudio  and  a  team  of  reporters  from  NPR’s Latino  USA  received  a  Peabody  National  Award  for their  coverage  of  Central  American  migrants. She's worked as an investigative reporter for the Commercial Appeal Newspaper and The Chicago Reporter Magazine covering immigration and labor. She also covered aging for the Associated Press.
