Following the Money: Sources for reporting on Alaska government and elections

  • Event: 2016 Anchorage Watchdog Workshop
  • Speaker: Nat Herz of Alaska Dispatch News
  • Date/Time: Saturday, Oct. 1 at 3:00pm
  • Location: See printed schedule for room information
  • Audio file: Only members can listen to conference audio

Alaska Dispatch News reporter Nathaniel Herz will provide a walk-through of the tools he uses to track spending by state agencies, political candidates, and campaigns. We'll cover territory that will help you find and write stories about individuals and institutions across the state, whether you live in Juneau, Anchorage, or Dillingham, and regardless of whether you cover local, municipal, or state government. We'll also help you track members of the Congressional delegation -- how they're voting on issues that affect your area, and how they're raising and spending money for their campaigns.
