Jeff Larson is the managing editor of The Markup a non profit investigative news organization illuminating how powerful institutions are using technology in ways that impact people and society. He is a Peabody Award winner, two-time Pulitzer Prize finalist, and past recipient of a Livingston Award for Young Journalists. He previously worked at ProPublica and The Nation.
Malik Singleton teaches interactive data reporting at CUNY Graduate School of Journalism and also trains faculty in instructional technology at NYU. He has worked in various newsrooms, including TIME.com, Crain's New York Business, Black Enterprise Magazine, and LA Weekly Newspaper. He earned his BA from Morehouse College and his MS from Pace University.
Ashley recently joined the news operations team at Apple News. She was previously a graphics reporter and interactive designer for New York magazine. Originally from California, she is an alum of Northwestern's journalism school and has worked at The Washington Post, Los Angeles Times and La Nacion in Argentina as a data and graphics journalist. Ashley enjoys cooking massive meals, exercising, drinking tea and exploring new cities. @ashhwu
