Think you need code to make a highly customized data-driven map? We’re here to show you that you don’t. In this session, we’re going to make a choropleth map and show you how to fine-tune the smallest details with Mapbox Studio. 

*Please note: You must bring your own laptop to participate in this class.

This session is good for: All skill levels. No JavaScript knowledge required, but basic computer literacy is necessary. You will also need a Mapbox account

Speaker Bios

  • Lo is a visual journalist and front-end engineer who's worked at WIRED and Youth Radio. They are now at Mapbox, where they support journalists, collaborate with reporters, and specialize in data visualization. @lobenichou

  • Casey is a data and visual journalist working on the Data Desk at the Los Angeles Times. In the past she has helped create visual and data driven graphics and narratives at Mapbox, Vox Media, and The Wall Street Journal. Casey is also a proud graduate of The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
