Speaker Bios

  • Kelly Hinchcliffe is a reporter at WRAL in Raleigh, N.C., where she focuses on education reporting using public records and data. She writes a public records column for Poynter and previously worked at The Herald-Sun in Durham, N.C., and The Frederick News-Post in Frederick, Md. @RecordsGeek

  • Todd Wallack is an investigative reporter and data journalist on the Boston Globe’s Spotlight team. He has won national awards for his work on public records and been a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize four times as part of small teams, including in 2018 for a series examining Boston's reputation for racism. Wallack was selected as a Nieman fellow for 2019-2020. @twallack
