Speaker Bios

  • Nicole Beemsterboer is the Senior Producer of Investigations at NPR, where she oversees the conceptualization, development, and execution of the network's investigative reporting and coordinates the team's internal and external news partnerships. Her work has been recognized with journalism's highest honors, including the George Foster Peabody Award, the Goldsmith Prize for Investigative Reporting, the George Polk Award and the Investigative Reporters and Editors Medal.

  • Alex Hall is a reporter for KQED Public Radio, San Francisco's NPR member station. She covers immigration, labor, agriculture, criminal justice, politics and more from the station's Central Valley bureau in Fresno, California. @chalexhall 

  • Tony is an investigative and data reporter for Oregon Public Broadcasting. He works on the EarthFix team, a collaboration of public media stations covering environmental news in the Pacific Northwest. @tonyvschick
