Tom Brune covers Washington for Newsday. A Pulitzer Prize finalist, Brune has worked as a reporter, investigative and data journalist, and editor at the Seattle Times, Chicago Sun-Times and The Chicago Reporter. He also has written for The New York Times, The Boston Globe, the Chicago Tribune and The Christian Science Monitor. He is co-author of "Serpent on the Staff," a book about the doctors’ lobby, the American Medical Association.
Jonathan D. Salant (@JDSalant) has covered Washington for 30 years and is a former National Press Club president. He currently is the D.C. correspondent for NJ Advance Media and last year won the New York Press Club's political reporting award for his coverage of New Jersey's congressional delegation. As Bloomberg's money and politics reporter, he was on the team that won the Dirksen Award for Distinguished Reporting on Congress and was a Robin Toner Award finalist.
