Steve Riley is Executive Editor of the Houston Chronicle, and as of this writing, still doubles as the newsroom's investigations editor. He joined the Chronicle in 2017 after 31 years at The News & Observer in Raleigh. He has led projects that have won more than a dozen national awards, including the RFK Journalism Awards Grand Prize and ASNE for local accountability reporting.
