Speaker Bios

  • Lise Olsen is a senior investigative reporter and Texas-based writer. Her investigations have appeared in newspapers, books and documentaries, including A & E's six-part series "The Eleven" and CNN's The Wrong Man. She's a former IRE board member and directed the IRE Mexico Project from 1996-98. Her investigations contributed to the prosecutions of a Texas congressman and a federal judge, forced changes in laws, restored identities to murder victims and freed the wrongfully detained. 

  • @JRogalskiKHOU is a three-time duPont Columbia University Award winner who enjoys digging through data and public records to hold the powerful accountable. The latest deep-dive from the KHOU 11 Investigates team, "Unforgivable," told the stories of those impacted by the child sex abuse crisis in the Catholic church.

  • Bob Smietana is the editor-in-chief of Religion News Service, a national, nonsectarian new service specializes in coverage of religion, spirituality, and values.
