Speaker Bios

  • Barbara Gray is a research methods professor and oversees Newmark J-School’s Research Center. She is the former director of news research at The New York Times and a recognized expert on investigative research. @BarbGray

  • Erin Sood is the research editor at The Dallas Morning News where she oversees the research and digital archives teams. Erin is the former research and data director at the Dallas Business Journal and has held a variety of roles such as technical and strategic intelligence analyst positions. Erin’s research focuses on deep backgrounding, people tracking, digital forensics, fraud, breaking news and acquiring intelligence and data on any topic on a global scale. @erinsood
