Speaker Bios

  • James Pilcher is an investigative reporter for the Cincinnati/Kentucky Enquirer and has been a practicing journalist for the past 25 years. He's won numerous journalism awards and was part of the reporting team at The Enquirer that won the 2018 Pulitzer for Local Reporting. James teaches investigative and data journalism as the Journalist in Residence for the University of Kentucky. @jamespilcher

  • Jeremy Rogers is a partner at the law firm Dinsmore & Shohl in Louisville. Jeremy has extensive experience representing newspapers, broadcasters, and online publications. He advises clients and handles litigation matters in all areas of the news industry, including defamation, privacy, advertising, open records, and open meetings. Jeremy earned a degree in journalism from the University of Kentucky and graduated from Boston College Law School.
