Speaker Bios

  • David is on the investigations team at The Denver Post, which he helped found when he joined the paper in 1999 from the Detroit Free Press. He's been a reporter, editor and photographer at newspapers and magazines at some point along a 36-year career that's taken him to New York City, St. Louis, Detroit and Denver. Among a number of accolades is an IRE in 1993 for his reporting in East St. Louis, Illinois.

  • Jeff Roberts worked in journalism and public policy before joining the Colorado Freedom of Information Coalition as executive director in 2013. He was at The Denver Post from 1984-2007 as a reporter, editor and data journalism specialist and later worked at the University of Denver’s Center for Colorado’s Economic Future. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Northwestern University and is on the board of the National Freedom of Information Coalition. @CoFOIC
