Speaker Bios

  • Shaun Assael is the author of four books, including “The Murder of Sonny Liston,” (Random House: 2017), which will air as a documentary on Showtime this Fall, and "Steroid Nation,” which in development for film. He is one of the original staff members at ESPN Magazine, where he shared in two national Magazine Awards, including one for his work into the FBI’s investigation of FIFA, and was a contributor to the show Outside the Lines as a member of the network’s Enterprise & Investigations Group. A native New Yorker, he now resides in North Carolina, where he does magazine and book writing. @shaunassael
