Speaker Bios

  • Meghan Dwyer is a reporter at WGN-TV in Chicago. She was previously an investigative reporter in Milwaukee at FOX6. She has won eight regional Emmys, and has been nominated for 17 others. She was an IRE Award Finalist in 2015. This spring her reporting got a prominent Chicago alderman unseated and indicted. She was a corporate litigator at a major Chicago law firm before changing careers in 2011. She loves FOIA, pizza, the Hoosiers and being a new mom. @meghananndwyer

  • Rochester, Editor in Chief at Type Investigations, headquartered in Manhattan, has overseen investigations resulting in federal and state legislation, congressional hearings and regulatory reviews. He previously was Senior News Director for Investigations at The Detroit Free Press. His career includes other senior management positions at the Indianapolis Star, Newsday, the Denver Post, Associated Press and the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. He served on the national board of directors of Investigative Reporters & Editors. @mjrochester
