  • Jennifer Smith Richards has been a reporter at the Chicago Tribune since 2015. Jennifer has a specialty in data analysis and previously covered schools and education for more than a decade at newspapers in Huntington, West Virginia; Utica, New York; Savannah, Georgia, and Columbus, Ohio.   • Matt Topic eads Loevy & Loevy’s Freedom of Information Act practice.  Matt has litigated hundreds of state and federal FOIA and other media cases around the country, often and reduced or no cost to clients, including release of the Laquan McDonald shooting video in Chicago; records from the Mueller investigation; Rahm Emanuel’s “private emails” about public business; and FBI records that helped lead to the exoneration of an innocent man.
