Speaker Bios

  • Nate Carlisle covers polygamy and a view other things at The Salt Lake Tribune. He also teaches investigative journalism at the University of Utah. He has a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Missouri. Twitter: @natecarlisle

  • Judy Fahys is InsideClimate News's first staff reporter in the Mountain West, where climate change, energy and pollution of all sorts provide endless fodder for stories. A longtime member of Investigative Reporters and Editors and a Society of Environmental Journalists board member, she previously worked at the Salt Lake Tribune and NPR Utah.

  • David Reymann is a shareholder at Parr Brown Gee & Loveless in Salt Lake City, where he specializes in media and First Amendment law. David has represented all of the major news organizations in Utah and regularly speaks and helps train journalists on open records and transparency issues.
