IRE’s annual investigative journalism conference will take place in Anaheim, California, June 20-23, 2024.
The conference begins Thursday, June 20 at 9 a.m. and runs daily until 12:30 p.m. Sunday, June 23. Registration includes the welcome reception, the IRE Awards Luncheon and the closing reception.

Elevate your investigative and data skills by joining IRE for a day and a half of professional development training at Arizona State University on October 20 and 21, 2023.
This workshop will have something for everyone — whether you're a reporter, student, editor, educator, producer, freelancer or all of the above and then some — you'll be guaranteed a plethora of new tips, tricks, and skills for your tool belt, ideas for your next story and connections with some of the top investigative and data journalists in the country.
And you’ve got options! Join us on Friday morning to learn the power of spreadsheets, all day Saturday to hear from award-winning investigative and data journalists, or both days to give your career the ultimate boost. A current IRE membership is required to attend any portion of the workshop.
The workshop will run from 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. on Friday, October 20 (half-day of spreadsheets training) and from 9 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 21. For Friday's hands-on training, you must bring your own laptop (no tablets) to participate in this class, and you will need a free Google account to participate.
Space is limited at this event; register early to secure your spot.

All attendees must be current IRE members. To purchase tickets, you need to log into your member profile. If you are not a current member, the "Get Tickets" box will appear empty. You should renew your membership or apply to join IRE before purchasing an event ticket.
The workshop will be held at ASU's Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication located at 555 N. Central Ave., Phoenix, AZ 85004.
Friday's hands-on training will take place at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication.
Saturday's workshop will take place in Morgan Murphy Media / Elizabeth Murphy Burns and Richard Burns Theater, Cronkite 202.
Parking is available in University Center Garage. Rates (Monday through Sunday, 24 hours).
Pay machines — exit lanes and walk-up accessible — accept MasterCard and Visa. No visitor motorcycle parking in Fulton Center, Tyler Street and Packard Drive South garages.
Cancellations must be sent via email to logistics@ire.org. All cancellations must be in writing. There is a $50 processing fee for all cancellations until October 13. After that date, requests for refunds will be considered case by case. Membership fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
All IRE events are subject to being photographed, video/audio-recorded, screen captured and/or live-streamed. Attendees, speakers, sponsors and exhibitors may be captured via these formats. All conference sessions, materials and activities are subject to recording by IRE and may be reproduced in part or whole, and distributed or used in any way consistent with IRE’s mission.
