The USC Center for Health Journalism seeks an enterprising and experienced project manager with an editorial/journalism background and demonstrated successful management and supervisory experience to support the Center's development of new and continued health journalism and social welfare journalism program offerings, including researching speakers and policy and journalism trends for our Fellowships, helping to launch new initiatives, assisting the Center for Health Journalism Director with special projects and initiatives and helping manage special projects and partnerships with funders.
The Center is a small but growing journalism non-profit founded in 2004. It provides training programs, news partnerships and resources for journalists and helps them and their newsrooms to produce “impact reporting” that serves as a catalyst for change. The Center embraces an expansive definition of health journalism based on the core idea that our health is shaped by conditions in homes, schools and communities – as well as in health care settings.
