Quinlan Partners (quinlanpartners.com) is seeking an inquisitive, highly motivated investigator/researcher to join our team.
Applicants should have at least five years of applicable professional experience in investigative or business journalism, corporate investigations, or law, and excel as investigative interviewers and public record and open source researchers. The strongest candidates will demonstrate creative problem-solving abilities and a track record of success at obtaining, analyzing, and clearly interpreting information to develop deep-dive profiles of executives and companies, uncover potential fraud or wrongdoing, or answer difficult questions posed by corporate, investment, and legal decision-makers. Fluency in a second language is a plus but not required. Candidates will ideally work out of our New York City office, although location is flexible.
The senior associate role requires dogged work ethic, excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail and intellectual curiosity, and the ability to collaborate with a team while simultaneously managing and executing multiple deadline-driven projects.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following, among other tasks:
-Conducting investigative interviews with primary sources for investigative due diligence purposes or to gather facts and evidence in support of litigation;
-Conducting in-depth public record and open source information on people and companies;
-Collecting information, intelligence and evidence to prevent or expose frauds;
-Expertly navigating databases that cover public records such as property deeds, financial disclosures, lawsuits and news reports, in the U.S. and around the world;
-Drafting and editing reports for clients;
-Briefing senior management and clients;
-Managing field investigators to obtain documents, conduct interviews and execute tasks on-the-ground around the world;
-Managing projects within corresponding budgets;
-Meeting deadlines and supporting a strong team of professional colleagues.
