KBJR-TV reports that "In early June a nineteen-year-old woman was abducted from the convenience store where she was working the late shift...Eventually a man was arrested who admitted to killing her and burning her body on his nearby property.... We conducted a ... survey of convenience stores in our area, in the evening hours. We found a preponderance of young women working the late shift alone, many with no way to alert authorities in an emergency. We outlined their conditions and highlighted their potential danger.
