The stories revealed questionable practices of University of Alabama at Birmingham President Dr. J. Claude Bennett in his operation of Woodward House, the presidential residence of the university. They detailed his use of housekeeping personnel at Woodward House for his private residence in suburban Birmingham, use of UAB workers to clear brush at his private home after a storm and charging the school for the costs of wedding parties he hosted.
