Description

In November 1996, a federal circuit court ruled that students at the University of Wisconsin-Madison should be able to opt out of student-activity fees that support groups whose beliefs they oppose. The suit, which was brought by three law students, was funded by a Christian organization called the Alliance Defense Fund. The Fund's purpose is to win lawsuits that benefit the Christian right.
