Description

Louisville Courier-Journal uses computer tapes to compare the educational progress of black and white students 10 years after enforced busing began; found that black students weren't faring nearly as well white students in reading, math or college entrance exams, and that vocational training programs for low-paying jobs were full of black students, while white students studied data processing, health careers and electronics; found that the school system was failing to measure the progress of black students, August 1985.
