AccessFest25 Fellowships - Investigative Reporters & Editors

AccessFest fellowships are available for journalists, students and educators.

All recipients are required to meet IRE's membership standards: Someone substantially engaged in news gathering, presentation or production; a student pursuing a degree or someone engaged full-time in research or teaching in the field of journalism.

Please note, eligibility for IRE fellowships renews every three years. For example, if you received a fellowship in 2025, you will be eligible again in 2028.

The fellowship includes:

Complimentary conference registration ($50-$199 value)
One-year IRE membership/renewal ($25-75 value)

The application requires:

Resume/CV or LinkedIn profile
One to two clips of investigative or journalistic work
Essay addressing the following: Why do you want to attend an IRE training? What would you like to accomplish with the skills you would gain? Educators: How would you put this training to use for your students?
