“Truth Has Claws!” Sink yours into the new merchandise for the IRE Journal!

For those who’ve been eagerly waiting for some IRE Journal swag (please, please one at a time!), you’re in luck! Investigative Reporters & Editors is excited to unveil brand new merchandise, supporting the IRE Journal.

The designs — created by Jan Diehm of The Pudding — are the first in a series of designs that will release every few months. The first, “Truth Has Claws,” is a nod to the sharp, exacting work of our members to speak truth to power. The design also honors IRE’s late executive director Diana R. Fuentes, a fierce advocate of truth, a free press, and black cats.

The designs will be available on a limited basis at the upcoming IRE 2026 conference in National Harbor, after which they will be available for online order. Crewneck sweaters will be available for $28 apiece. T-shirts and hats will be available for $20 apiece.
