Provides assistance to the NICAR Conference, March 5-8, 2026 or the IRE Conference, June 18-21, 2026.

Description

The Diversity Fellowships for Students is funded by the IRE Student Fund. The goal of the fellowships is to increase the diversity of IRE’s student membership.

Who is eligible?

Journalists, educators and students of color, those who identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community, and/or those with disabilities are eligible to apply.

What does the fellowship provide?

  • One-year IRE membership/renewal (up to $75 value)
  • Complimentary conference registration included
  • Four hotel nights ($932 - $956 value)
  • Travel stipend ($500)
