The IRE Educators' Center provides a meeting place for journalism educators to share ideas, course materials and resources. Through collaboration, instructors are able to offer stronger guidance for their students and to further their own research and growth. New semester memberships provide IRE resources for students Journalism educators, here's a great service from Investigative Reporters and Editors and the National Institute for Computer-Assisted Reporting that your students can use in and out of the classroom this semester. For a small fee ($10 each), your journalism students can sign up for a semester-long IRE membership and gain access to IRE's members-only Web content, which includes the IRE Resource Center's online index to more than 23,250 investigative reporting articles and 3,000 tipsheets crafted by professional journalists. It also provides access to online versions of past IRE Journals. Students will be able to download many of the tipsheets online for free and sample NICAR's tutorials.
