"Chapin Narco-connection from Guatemala to New York"
Drug trafficking is on the rise in Guatemala. About "200 tons of cocaine" passes through the country annually on its way to New York. Drug-violence in the country is spreading, reaching levels comparable to that of Mexico. Authorities are only catching a small percentage of the drugs being smuggled, as well as the people who are doing the trafficking.

Meth Home Cover-Up
The story reveals that former meth houses, already cleaned up and declared safe to live in by the Salt Lake City Health Department are still contaminated. KSL hired a certified lab to conduct its own meth tests on two of the so-called clean homes. Both sites tested positive for meth residue, with levels reaching 14 times what the state considers safe in a child's room

House of Death
A ruthless Mexican drug cartel was found to be executing people at a place called the House of Death. The U.S. government had confirmation of these killings through a recording given by a government informant, and let more people die be murdered until two DEA were targeted. Reports showed that the U.S. knew that several murders were going to take place, and did nothing to stop them.

Broken Bridges: Did City Hall's plan to fight gangs bankroll a gangster?
Ex-gang member and alleged Mexico Mafia member Hector Marroquin, Sr. founded a gang-prevention program in Los Angeles in 1997 that was supported by nearly $1.5 million from the City COuncil. Using FOIA requests and over 50 interviews, L.A. Weekly reporters Jeffrey Anderson and Christine Pelisek point out that the program had no oversight, no means of measuring its success in keeping children out of gangs. They also uncovered nepotism, and evidence suggesting Marroquin was a member of the Mexican Mafia while he ran the anti-gang program.

This investigation is an in-depth look at the role methamphetamine plays in Phoenix, Arizona. The reporters explored and dispelled various myths about the drug. They also traced the community's problem to a Mexican supply, and found that the drug even had a presence in elementary school.
