NICAR is looking to add new data sets to its collection, and we're interested in your suggestions. We're looking for national, multi-state, or multi-country data sets that are potentially valuable to reporters and are not easily accessible. Our goal is to enable access to and use of important data, and we need help identifying targets for that goal. To that end, we will be gathering and vetting suggestions on a rolling basis. If you have a data set in mind, please use the form linked here and give us as much information as you can about it: https://irenicar.wufoo.com/forms/what-dataset-should-we-add-to-the-nicar-library/
If you are an IRE member and we choose your suggested database, we will give you and your newsroom access to the final data for free.
Adding new datasets to the database library is part of a series of changes that we're implementing in the coming year. To read more about these changes and our mission and goals, click here.
