Description

ABA Journal looks at the increase in recent years of scientific evidence in legal trials. Many juries are not schooled enough in the sciences to determine whether or not a witness is a credible scientific "expert." A new precedent set in Daubert v. Merrell Dow Pharmaceuticals Inc. hopes to increase the responsibilities of federal judges as "gatekeepers" to keep out incredible scientific testimony.
