Description

The Indianapolis Star investigates how Indiana special interest groups and their pushy, powerful lobbyists poured millions of dollars into lawmakers' campaigns, and won enormous influence over the 1995 session. Part-time lawmakers found they often could not avoid a conflict of private and public loyalties. At the same time, lawmakers who voted against lobbyists and special interests were punished for their independence. (Feb. 11-16, 1996)
