Description

Theo Baker of The Stanford Daily student newspaper has revealed extensive allegations of research misconduct spanning two decades and four institutions across the career of Stanford President Marc Tessier-Lavigne, a world-famous neuroscientist and powerful biotechnology executive. The research in question -- which ranks among the most influential in neuroscience and was published in several of the scientific community's most prestigious journals -- contains what experts described in dozens of interviews as a clear intention to deceive readers. A half-dozen experts described images supporting the conclusions of these papers using one word: "photoshopped."
