50 years of IRE: The executive directors

Have you ever wondered what it's like to run IRE? Hear from several of IRE’s past (and our current) executive directors as they discuss their tenure leading the organization.

Join Steve Weinberg (1983-1990), Brant Houston (1997-2007), Mark Horvit (2008-2016), Doug Haddix (2016-2021) and Diana Fuentes (2022-current) as they talk about their time at IRE. You'll hear about some highlights, including the creation of NICAR, diversifying IRE's membership, breaking fundraising and membership records and pushing for a more inclusive industry; as well as some of the struggles, such as leading the organization through lawsuits, surviving the 2008 financial crash, pivoting during the COVID-19 pandemic and navigating Trump 2.0.
