The 2017 IRE Awards are now open for entries! We know there's been a lot of great investigative work done during the year and can't wait to see what you enter!
You'll notice some changes to the size specifications of the print/online and broadcast/video categories. In order to better reflect the ways in which our industry is changing, the IRE board has split those categories into four size divisions.
We believe these new size categories will allow for more stories to be judged on a level playing field. And it’s vitally important to remember that one thing hasn’t changed: the contest’s focus remains on content. Judges will still focus on selecting the best investigative reporting done in the past year in print, on air or online.
